Lanka to confiscate Indian boats but release poaching fishermen

Colombo, Oct 26 (ANI): In an endeavor to deter the Indian fishermen from Tamil Nadu trying to invade the island’s water for poaching, the Sri Lankan Government will now take strict action against the owners of the boats and release the fishermen.

According to LankaPage, Sri Lankan Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Mahinda Amaraweera said the government will release the poaching Indian fishermen but will confiscate their boats and fishing equipments.
