Largest-value drug seizure ever by Toronto Police

Acting Inspector Steve Watts updating the media on the significant results of a recent Drug Squad investigation.

TORONTO –  On October 12, 2016, after a month-long investigation, members of the Toronto Drug Squad conducted a search warrant in the McCowan Road and Ellesmere Road area.

It is alleged that:  – a criminal organization was importing and distributing cocaine in Toronto and the GTA .

Nicholas Shouldice, 32, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:

1) two counts of Possession for the Purpose Cocaine
2) Possession for the Purpose MDMA
3) Possession for the Purpose Crystal Meth

Police executed search warrants of the man’s home and car and seized

1) 73 kilogrammes of Cocaine
2) 12 kilogrammes of Crystal Meth
3) Eight kilogrammes of MDMA

This is believed to be the largest-value drug seizure in the history of the Toronto Police Service, with a street value of $8.98 million, a police statement said.  – CINEWS
