About 200 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are also participating in the trade fair through to display their offerings to the stakeholders.
According to the department of electronics and information technology, the country imports electronic goods valued at $100 billion annually and is estimated to touch $400 billion by 2020 if domestic manufacturing fails to keep pace with the growing demand for digital products and solutions.
“To reduce supply-demand deficit met through imports, we will support the government’s Digital India programme by creating opportunities and a market place for ICT enterprises,” said Shah.
