Police say actor Leonardo DiCaprio and his Danish supermodel girlfriend weren’t injured when their vehicle was involved in a minor accident in the Hamptons in New York over the weekend.
Police in the village of East Hampton say the accident occurred on Montauk Highway on Long Island’s east end, where the 41-year-old Oscar-winning actor and 24-year-old Nina Agdal were traveling together.
A department spokeswoman says the accident, first reported by the New York Post, was “just minor” and no one was taken to a hospital. Officials had not released any other information.
DiCaprio is said to be a frequent visitor to the Hamptons, where he has rented homes and frequents hotspots. The couple was spotted at a popular restaurant in Montauk in June.
A Mini Cooper hit the back of their car. An ambulance was called to the scene “as a precaution,” but it was just a minor fender bender.
“Leo and Nina got rear-ended, but everyone is doing fine. It was Leo’s friend’s car,” a source said.
Leonardo was supposed to host Hillary Clinton fundraiser scheduled for Tuesday in Los Angeles, but now he won’t due to a scheduling conflict.
Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel eventually step in to host the event at their own house.
