London, Oct. 9 (ANI): Former Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has been appointed as the new Liverpool manager and also became the Anfield Club’s highest paid manager after he signed a three-year contract worth five million pounds a year.
The 48-year-old German manager replaced Brendan Rodgers four days after the latter was sacked amidst concern over poor results and performances dating back several months. Rodgers served at the helm for three and a half years.
According to the Guardian, Liverpool said in a statement that they are delighted to announce Klopp has been appointed as the club’s new manager, adding that the German coach would be presented at a press conference at Anfield on Friday.
Klopp’s earning could rise to seven million pounds with bonuses for a Premier League title or Champions League qualification. (ANI)
