London, Feb.21 (ANI): Romelu Lukaku smashed a late goal to help Everton seal their place in the FA Cup quarterfinals after claiming a comfortable 2-0 win over Bournemouth in the fifth round at Vitality Stadium.
Attacking midfielder Ross Barkley netted a goal in the 55th minute to put his side ahead before Lukaku struck his 21st goal of the season to pile further misery on Bournemouth, the Guardian reported.
Although Bournemouth had a great chance to take a lead in the first half of the match, midfielder Charlie Daniels saw his powerful first half penalty saved by Everton keeper Joel Robles.
Everton, who are 11th in Premier League standings, will now go into their next match buoyed by the good form of Barkley and Lukaku. (ANI)
