Akademi Chairman Uttar Pacharne met Fadnavis here here on Saturdau, following which he announced that the state may soon get a new LKA regional centre.
Pacharne said that Fadnaviss “readily agreed and assured of his and his government’s whole hearted cooperation” for the initiative.
Explaining that Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat have vastly contributed to arts in the country, he said this was a “long-pending demand from the artiste community” of the three states.
“The new centre in Mumbai shall provide a new fillip to the arts market in the country and also help artists from Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat in getting a fair deal for their imagination and hard work, not only nationally but also internationally,” Pacharne said.
