New Delhi, Sept.19 (ANI): All India Mahila Congress president Shobha Oza on Saturday said Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma represents the ‘anti-women’ ideology of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
“It would have been better if he would have commented on the conduct of men in our country,” Oza told ANI.
Sharma sparked off a controversy by saying that girls’ wanting a night out is unacceptable in India.
He, however, blamed the media for distorting his statement.
“I was misquoted by the media, and only a part of my statement was shown on television,” claimed Sharma. (ANI)
