Malayalam actor Jayasurya’s latest movie “Pretham” has been getting positive response after its release on August 12.
Filmmaker, singer and actor Vineeth Sreenivasan is all praise for the Ranjith Sankar-directed film.
Describing the Jayasurya starrer as full of entertainment, Vineeth calls Ranjith as a mentalist for understanding the audience well. “Pretham is full on entertainment. Not a single dull moment in the film. Entire cast did an amazing job. Jayetta, ur performance was so controlled and so detailed, u nailed it.. And Ranjith Etta, u understand the audience mind so well, I have to say u r the real mentalist!! [sic],” the “Jacobinte Swargarajyam” director posted on his Facebook page.
The horror comedy, which also stars Aju Varghese, Govind Padmasoorya and Sharafudheen has been doing well at the Kerala box office. The movie is has grossed Rs. 4.24 crore within five days of its release.
Compared to the usual horror thrillers the Kerala audience are familiar with, “Pretham” is different as the makers have emphasized the humour elements in the film.
The movie marks the third association of Jayasurya and Ranjith after the superhits “Punyalan Agarbathis” and “Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam. – CINEWS
