Toronto police have arrested Kamal Badri, 53, of Toronto for public mischief after two suspicious packages were left at Broadview station.

Police said the package was found in the station’s bus bay around 6:30 a.m. Monday. The station was shut down for more than four hours.

Although nothing harmful was found in the package, police believe it was left there intentionally.

Service on Line 2 was initially shut down between Pape and Castle Frank stations, but then subway service resumed with trains only bypassing Broadview.

There was also no service on the 504 King and the 505 Dundas routes between Parliament Street and Broadview Station.

He is facing multiple charges including public mischief and uttering threats. -CINEWS
