Marten has now been charged with using a computer system to commit an offence, administer noxious thing with intent to endanger or cause bodily harm, mischief to property under $5,000 and criminal harassment.
Police say their investigation revealed that Marten had met the victim through an on-line dating website and that he was active on other various websites.He had falsely identified himself with fictitious names and lifestyle information. Upon arrest he was found to be in possession of an unofficial firefighter’s badge despite the fact he was not employed by any fire service.
