Man seriously hurt in Vaughan accident

Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are seeking witnesses after a serious accident in the City of Vaughan.

On Monday, June 6, 2016, at approximately 11:35 a.m., York Regional Police responded to reports that a man had been pinned between a vehicle and a commercial building on Buttermill Avenue.  When police arrive at the scene, on private property, they located a man with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital.

It is believed that the victim, a 29-year-old-man from the City of Toronto, was attempting to assist the driver of the vehicle while backing up on the property, when he became pinned.

This investigation is ongoing. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police are being asked to please come forward.
