Man sought in Brampton forcible confinement case

Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Peel Regional Police have issued an arrest warrant for a male suspect in relation to a forcible confinement investigation that occurred in Brampton.

Amritpal Gill – believed to be armed

The public’s assistance is being sought in locating Amritpal Gill, a 37 year-old male of no fixed address.  An arrest warrant has been issued in relation to a number of serious criminal domestic related offences.

Gill is described as male, South Asian,  5’9” feet tall, 173 pounds with a medium build.  He has short, black hair and may have a black beard.

Investigators believe that Gill  is actively evading arrest within the Greater Toronto Area and is possibly in possession of a firearm.  If seen, the police has advised citizens not to  approach him and call police immediately.
