Man stabbed in Richmond Hill motel; hospitalized

A man was stabbed at a motel in the Town of Richmond Hill, on Wednesday, August 25, 2016, at around 8:30 p.m.

Investigators with the #2 District Criminal Investigation Bureau of the York Regional Police responded to a report that a man had been stabbed in the area of Yonge Street north of Gamble Road. When police arrived they found a 20-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. The man was transported to hospital where his injuries were determined to be minor and non-life threatening.

Investigators spoke with several people who may have been involved in the events that led up to the stabbing, however the investigation in still ongoing.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity at the motel prior to 8:30 p.m.who have not yet spoken to police, to please come forward.
