Manoj Bajpayee is one of the most unconventional actors we have in the industry, In fact, his film choices are a testimony to that. Currently the actor is busy promoting his upcoming film Traffic. The actor plays a traffic constable in the film and the trailer has literally blown us away.
Ever since the trailer is out it has left everyone RESTLESS to watch the film including superstar Shah Rukh Khan. During Traffic promotional event, SRK surprised Bajpayee and spoke to media at length. The Raees actor confessed that he has watched Manoj’s last film Aligarh and loved it and now he is waiting for Traffic.
Bajpayee and Khan have worked before in theatre together. The Gangs of Wasseypur actor is hoping to work with him in a film. .The actor while talking to Bollywoodlife confessed, “We have done Veer Zara and this is what Shah Rukh was talking about that it is so surprising that we have both know each other for so many years and we have only done one film and that to for two days, I am hopeful that somebody gets excited and encouraged to bring us in one film that will be amazing because we will get to spend time with each other.”
Apart from this, the actor also spoke about his upcoming film Traffic and why he chose to do it, “The script itself was amazing and written so beautifully. All of the characters come together in one journey and all of them are looking for redemption and looking for some reason to live further and my character was so good and so well written, everything in the film that it just compelled me to go ahead”.
Further he added about the difficult time the crew experienced while shooting as they were constantly on the move, “The shooting itself was very difficult and it was very demanding, all departments were working round the clock.. Also acting in chaos itself is very challenging because you have to hold your character throughout. We were on the road all the time, there was no camp base at all, we kept on moving, it was really very difficult part”.
On asked whether he was mobbed by fans on the road, he mentioned, “I am not a star so I don’t face the fans problem, I shoot in all peace, there is no crazy fan running behind me tearing his shirt or mine.”
