New Delhi, Feb.3 (ANI): Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday unveiled its much-awaited compact SUV Vitara Brezza at the Auto Expo 2016.
Vitara Brezza is powered by 200 DDiS engine that is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. While it will initially be available in diesel variant, the company said it is working on a petrol trim.
“In ‘Suzuki Next 100’, our mid-term management plan, India is positioned as the most strategic market and production base. I am proud to introduce the brand new Vitara Brezza. It is developed under a unique process to design, with a special focus on taste and values of Indian customers,” Suzuki Motor Corporation President and COO T Suzuki said.
Meanwhile, Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India said, “Vitara Brezza is true to its category of a compact urban SUV. It is muscular, bold and sporty, with a district presence. It offers style and glamour, and features and customization never seen before in SUVs in India.”
The SUV will face a stiff competition against the likes of Mahindra TUV300 and Ford EcoSport in the Indian market. (ANI)
