Melbourne, Oct.6 (ANI): Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell, who is looking to stake his claim for the Test team, has said that his performances in the domestic tournament (Matador One-Day Cup) can help him to regain his place in the Test squad.
Maxwell, who played his last Test against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi in 2014, has expressed his desire to play in the upcoming Test series against New Zealand and West Indies.
The 26-year-old said that he wants to play few Tests at home so that he could show others how capable he was, news.com.au reported.
Maxwell insisted that his performance in the ODIs has prepared him for the longest format of the game as well.
The all-rounder has so far appeared in only three Test matches, scoring 80 runs at an average of 13.33. (ANI)
