Melbourne, Jan. 01 (ANI): Former Australia fast bowler Glenn McGrath has backed Josh Hazlewood to reign supreme as the leader of the country’s pace attack.
The 45-year-old insisted that Hazlewood has got the ability and the mentality to be the main bowler, admitting that the towering paceman was getting better all the time and going from strength to strength, News.com.au reported.
McGrath, who is the leading fast bowling wicket-taker of all time, called on his so-called protege to stage a comeback from his disappointing Ashes campaign, insisting that it would pave way for his stronger return.
Hazlewood, who remained wicketless during Australia’s 177-run win over West Indies in the second Test, has declared himself fit for the third and final match at the SCG starting on Sunday. (ANI)
