Wuhan, Oct. 2 (ANI): Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza continued her rampaging form, alongside Swiss partner Martina Hingis by storming into the Wuhan Open women’s doubles final on Friday.
The Indo-Swiss duo claimed a 6-2, 6-1 win over the fourth-seeded Chinese Taipei pair of Hao Ching-Chan and Yung- Jan Chan Spears in the semifinal contest that lasted 53 minutes.
Mirza and Hingis clinched their sixth women’s doubles title of the year by winning the Guangzhou Open last month. They have also won two Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon and the US Open, since joining forces in March. (ANI)
