New Delhi, Jan. 22 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sambit Patra accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of playing politics on the issue of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, and added that it was absolutely shocking to hear that a file related to the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has gone missing for the last ten months.
“Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, when he was contesting the Delhi elections, played politics on the 1984 Sikh riots. In fact, he said he wanted to set-up a SIT at the earliest, and today we learn, it is absolutely disgusting and shocking to learn, that the file which was meant to set up the SIT is missing. It has been missing since the last 10 months and no one cared to think as to where the file was or is,” he said.
Patra said Kejriwal was busy getting involved in international and national politics and hence losing out on Delhi.
“It shows what the real nature of politicking in Delhi is, what the real nature of the politics of Mr. Arvind Kejriwal is. Only announce and do nothing about it. Anyways Mr. Arvind Kejriwal has no time for any kind of work in Delhi because he is absolutely engaged and busy in international and national politics. With all kind of visits in Hyderabad and Dadri, it is but natural that if you are engaged in all kinds of activities other than Delhi, you will naturally miss out the files which are very important for establishing the SIT for 1984 riots,” he added.
The Aam Aadmi Party government has landed itself in a mess in the wake of reports stating that a file related to the constitution of the Special Investigation Team to probe the 1984 anti-Sikh carnage has been missing from the Delhi Government’s home department since March 16, 2015. (ANI)
