Menatalla Ibrahim from Father Michael Goetz Secondary School was named 2015/16 MiWay Student Ambassador of the year. During the school year, Menatalla engaged and educated her peers about the benefits of using MiWay, the Mississauga Transit service.

“MiWay’s student ambassadors showcase excellent leadership and communications skills,” said Mary-Lou Johnston, MiWay Manager Business Development.“They work as our extended team. They share positive MiWay experiences with other students. They gather feedback and help us improve awareness for transit in Mississauga.”

Menatalla gave students the opportunity to access transit information in their own school and encouraged them to try transit. She spread positive messages about MiWay using social media, interactive activities, school bulletin boards and MiWay booths. She offered helpful tips and information on MiWay and transit services.
