Mississauga couple held; handgun, ammunition seized

handgunInvestigators with Street Crime Gang Unit of the Peel Regional Police have arrested a man and women after executing a Criminal Code Search Warrant and have seized a handgun and ammunition at a residence in Mississauga.

On Wednesday June 15, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m., investigators from Street Crime Gang Unit executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a residence on Village Walk in Mississauga. As a result of the search warrant, investigators seized a 9 mm firearm and a magazine containing 3 rounds of 9 mm ammunition.

Nicholas Hnnte, a 26 year-old male from Mississauga has been arrested and charged with Careless Use of Firearm, Possession of Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm, Possession of Firearm, and Breach of Probation Order.

Tracey Creighton-Moore, a 25 year-old female from Mississauga has been arrested and charged with Careless Use of Firearm, Possession of Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, and Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm.
