Peel Regional Police’s homicide unit is expected to take over the investigation into a deadly house explosion in Mississauga.
Police have said that one woman was killed in the blast but have not released her identity or said whether she lived in the house where the explosion took place.
Adding mystery to the blast is the fact that the man and woman who lived in the house are missing. Police has named the owners as Robert Nadler and Diane Page on Thursday.
During Wednesday’s news conference, Evans confirmed that police are investigating whether or not hand-written notes found around the site of the blast are connected to the case.
“Citizens reported seeing some pieces of paper with possible information that may lead to the cause of this investigation. We are still in the initial stages on that but we are pursuing that as well,” she said.
“At this point it is still too early to tell.”
Dozens of people were evacuated following the blast but on Wednesday night, some of those residents were allowed to return to their homes. – CINEWS
