Mississauga man arrested in arms, drugs case

Investigators with the Street Crime Gang Unit and 11 Division Neighbourhood Policing Unit of the Peel Regional Police have arrested a male after executing a Criminal Code Search Warrant.

On Friday July 29, 2016 at approximately 5:00 p.m., investigators from the Street Crime Gang Unit and 11 Division Neighbourhood Policing Unit executed a Criminal Code Search Warrant at a residence on Falconer Drive in Mississauga.

As a result of the investigation, investigators seized a loaded .32 MAB model semi-automatic firearm, ammunition and a quantity of drugs.

Jasmar JONES, a 24 year-old male from Mississauga has been arrested and charged with Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm, Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon, Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm, Two counts of Carry Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition In a Careless Manner, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order, and Possession for the Purpose.
