Mississauga opened its 18 spray pads for children on May 28 – to enjoy all summer long – weather permitting (Lake Aquitaine Park is closed for renovations). All spray pads are unsupervised and open at 9 a.m., except for Lakefront Promenade Marina Park which opens at 10 a.m. For more information on spray parks available in your neighbourhood, visit: eparks.ca.
City-operated pools are safe and supervised by highly-trained staff. The City operates 11 indoor pools that are open all year (Meadowvale Community Centre pool is currently closed and set to re-open in fall 2016). Indoor pools offer a variety of aquatic programs, drop-in swims and lessons for all ages. Mississauga also has seven City-operated outdoor pools that offer a place to relax with family and friends. Outdoor pools are set to open on June 25.
