A new  Grab Some Good mobile food market was officially launched in front of Toronto General Hospital on Friday by Cncillor Joe Mihevc (Ward 21 St. Paul’s), Chair of the Toronto Board of Health.

The initiative, a collaboration with FoodShare and the University Health Network (UHN), will bring fresh, healthy and culturally diverse foods to busy University Avenue for those working at or visiting its many hospitals.

Food plays a vital role in building healthy people, communities and cities. With thousands of people across Toronto using hospitals and other health facilities and services along the University Avenue corridor, the UHN Grab Some Good market will provide a central and accessible location for nutritious and affordable food choices, the City said in a statement. – CINEWS
