The producers of Hrithik Roshan starrer Mohenjo Daro has already earned Rs 60 crore even before its release.The earnings come from from selling its satellite rights with Rs 45 crore and Rs 15 crore from the sale of music rights.
The film will be released on August 12 simultaneously with Akshay Khanna starer Rustom. The film has been directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.A R Rahman has composed the music.
The estimated cost of the whole project, including publicity and advertising is Rs 115 crores, according to the producers.
Hrithik Roshan is apprehensive of the film clashing with Rustom. While many Bollywood stars including Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh have promoted Rustom on social media, Mohenjo Daro hasn’t got much support from the industry.Mohenjo Daro is a period drama set during the Indus Valley civilisation.
Mohenjo Daro is releasing on about 2300-2500 screen. In comparison, Rustom gets 2000 screens and its budget is less than Rs 50 crore. – CINEWS
