Berlin, July 14 (IANS) Borussia Monchengladbach have completed the transfer of striker Alassane Plea from French football outfit OGC Nice.
Monchengladbach have strengthen their offense with the signing of Plea, who on Friday penned a five-year deal, reported Xinhua news agency.
“We are very happy that this transfer worked out and we were able to prevail against European top-flight clubs. Alassane wanted to join Monchengladbach,” said the Bundesliga club’s sporting director Max Eberl .
The 25-year-old striker played since 2014 for Nice where he scored 36 goals in 111 appearances. Plea wore France’s national team jersey after playing for several youth teams.
“He is a versatile, fast and intelligent striker, who has proven his qualities in the Ligue 1 and UEFA Europa League,” Eberl added.
Monchengladbach completed the Bundesliga season 2017-2018 on the 9th place.
