MoneyGram seeks biggest cricket fan with Cricket Bee launch

Dallas, TX, April 1 (CINEWS): The search for the biggest cricket fan is on! MoneyGram (NASDAQ: MGI)continues its mission launch the MoneyGram Cricket Bee competition which allows cricket fans to vie for prizes while sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm for the game.
Open to participants 18 and older, the contest will begin with regional rounds in New Jersey, San Francisco and Toronto. The regional contest will have a written test and oral test. There will be 35 questions in the written test, advancing to the oral round, a contestant needs to get at least 25 correct. In the oral round, the contest will be held on a miss and out basis, which means that if a contestant misses the right answer, they face elimination. The top three contestants from each regional round will join the finals, and the person who emerges as cricket’s biggest fan in the finals will receive a cash prize of $10,000.
“MoneyGram has been heavily involved in cricket since 2011 with our ICC sponsorship,” says Joann Chatfield, MoneyGram’s vice president of marketing. “MoneyGram Cricket Bee is a platform that further bolsters the game, and is in line with our commitment to remain involved and be supportive of the South Asian community.”
