A new monthly rating index based on several measurable parameters has been described as an effective way to rank the actors.

The Times Celebex, a monthly rating index  launched in September 2012 takes into consideration measurable parameters like stars’ Box-Office performance, ability to stay in the news across print, TV and online, their brand endorsements, and popularity among fans on the Internet and social media.

These are taken cumulatively to assign the actors a final rank called the ‘T Score’.

The system is based on data collected from 60 odd publications and 250 odd TV channels, making it the first ever ranking system for Bollywood. For July Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma top the index. Salman’s film ‘Sultan’, signing Kabir Khan’s next project ‘Tubelight’ and for his two brand endorsements have worked in favour of the actor.
