The first thing that you notice about Nathan Jones is his built. At 7 feet, Jones, Australian actor and retired professional wrestler’s towering presence is intimidating and scary.
Jones who was seen in movies like ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’, ‘Troy’ and a Tamil film last year, now ventures into Bollywood world with Tiger Shroff starer ‘A Flying Jatt’.
The actor says he had a difficult past. He served seven years in a maximum security prison for eight armed robberies between 1985 and 1987. While in prison repenting his mistakes in life he decided to channel his energies into powerlifting.
Asked him about his prison term he says his biggest learning was that the power to turn something negative into positive lies within oneself.
Jones plays the character of Raka in ‘A Flying Jatt’. The actor says the character is a narcissist who likes to dress well and the smell of money and the intoxication of power consume him completely. “He is a classic bad guy who kids would love to hate,” he adds.
“In this film, I have tried to get the flavour of ‘Dark Knight’s’ Joker (played by Heath Ledger). Raka’s laugh and grin has a hint of his eccentricity. But at the end of the day, it is a completely different role. I have a unique talent for being scary. Over time I have realised I was born to be in Bollywood. I seamlessly match the drama, intensity, pace and energy of a quintessential Bollywood movie. I’ve always had the makings of a typical Hindi film baddie,” said Jones who is fondly known as Gentle Giant.- CINEWS
