Nav Bhatia pledges cash for Mississauga basketball court

There is no question that basketball courts in Mississauga could do with some improvement and Toronto Raptors Superfan Nav Bhatia is pledging $150,000 to help build and improve basketball courts across the city.

Mississauga Ward 5 Councillor Carolyn Parrish says Toronto Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia, who is also the owner of Mississauga Hyundai, signed a letter of intent on Dec. 3 to donate $150,000 to build a full-size basketball court and repair existing courts at Malton’s Paul Coffey Park.

Bhatia first pledged to build the court during the park’s renaming ceremony in 2016.

The 122-acre park, southwest of Derry Road and Goreway Drive, is currently under a significant redevelopment as part of the city’s Parks and Forestry Master Plan. -CINEWS
