No, Navjot Singh Sidhu is not quitting The Kapil Sharma Show.
Preeti Simoes, the creative head of The Kapil Sharma Show, took to her Twitter handle to dismiss the rumours of the ex cricketer-turned-politician’s exit from the popular show.
“There’s no notice served by Sidhu sir to Sony. A reaction on this issue is unnecessary. All propaganda that he’s leaving is false. Thnx,” she tweeted.
The news of his leaving the show has started after Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur confirmed to a news channel that he would now focus on the upcoming assembly election in Punjab.
“Sidhu will now completely focus on Punjab politics. And that is why he has recorded all the shows till September 30 and has already said goodbye to the cast,” Kaur was quoted as saying.
In fact, the report said that Sidhu has already wrapped up his shoot for Kapil Sharma’s show.
However, The Kapil Sharma Show quashed the rumours. It has consistently been the top-rated show under the non-fiction category in the Television Rating Points (TRPs) charts.
This is not the first time that reports of the former cricketer quitting the show has surfaced.
A few months ago, Sidhu had made headlines when he resigned as a Rajya Sabha member and soon after rumours of him taking an exit from the show had also surfaced. Back then, Preeti refuted the rumours claiming that Sidhu was very much a part of the show. – CINEWS
