Siddiqui…Plays undergarment salesman and local gangster.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, the star of “Freaky Ali” is a one-take actor, says none other than superstar Salman Khan .

Playing the lead role in Sohail Khan’s golf flic Nawazuddin starts out as a salesman for undergarments. He also doubles up as a local gangster who plays cricket and later somehow learns to play golf.

“I had never played golf earlier. It is a technical game and I had to learn it. I practiced the game a lot. I practised golf for 10-12 days,” Nawazuddin told reporters at the trailer launch of “Freaky Ali”.

The “Gangs of Wasseypur” star found difficulty while mouthing a dialogue to sell lingerie in a scene.

“The dialogue on underwear advertisement was the most difficult. I rehearsed it early morning before the shot,” Nawazuddin said. The 42-year-old actor even said that particular dialogue leaving the audience including Salman in laughter.

Salman said “That’s why we took Nawazuddin (referring to the way he said the dialogue). He is freaky. He will give you that shot in one take. If I would have done then it would have taken 50 takes. Even after that I would have never been able to say that again.”The film also starring Amy Jackson and Nikitin Dheer opens in cinemas on September 9.

Salman Khan hopes that “Freaky Ali,”will not clash with Katrina Kaif- Sidharth Malhotra starrer “Baar Baar Dekho which will be released on the same day. “It’s a good day (September 9) to release the film. It’s not a 4,000-5,000 screen release film. Both are different kind of movies. I am sure audience will see both,” he said.

Sohail said both the projects are of different genre and will have their own audience. “I hope that film (‘Baar Baar Dekho’) by Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani (producers) does well and even we do well. Both the films are of different genre. We have got a niche audience and there is good space for both of us,” Sohail said. – CINEWS
