New Delhi, Dec.26 (ANI): Taking a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his surprise visit to Lahore, former external affairs minister and senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid on Saturday said that the NDA Government at the Centre could be nicknamed as ‘flip-flop’ as their policies keep on changing every day.
“It is interesting and intriguing. I always said that he is full of energy and puts in a lot of energy in foreign affairs. But energy is fine as it goes but there has to be some substance,” Khurshid told ANI.
“It would be fair for the BJP to explain it to the world and to us why our doing it was bad and their doing it is good?” he added.
“Flip flop could be a nickname for NDA Government. They do flip flops every day. Some people also suggested that all this happened so that we can start playing cricket with Pakistan again. If that’s the case, then we are paying heavy price for it,” he further said.
The reaction comes after Prime Minister Modi made a surprise visit to Pakistan on Friday to meet his counterpart Nawaz Sharif, both reaffirming to resume high-level peace talks.
The relations between India and Pakistan have witnessed some positive developments in recent past. The two countries recently decided to launch a comprehensive dialogue after Prime Ministers Modi and Sharif met in Paris. (ANI)
