New Delhi, July 20 (ANI): Key ministers of the NDA Government will present at a tourism investors meet here on Wednesday and Thursday to solicit investment in India’s tourism infrastructure.
According to a media release of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), ministers Mahesh Sharma (tourism), Suresh Prabhu (railways) and Ashok Gajapati Raju (civil aviation) will address special ministerial sessions on Thursday (July 23).
Tourism Secretary Dr. Lalit K Pawar and his DIPP counterpart Amitabh Kant will be addressing the inaugural session on Wednesday.
The objective of the two-day event is to take the decision and commitment of “Make In India” made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi further.
It will focus on interactive meetings, where exhibiting destinations will be showcasing their policy and facilities with respect to the soliciting of investment in the tourism infrastructure through pre-scheduled one on one business meetings between the state governments and prominent investors.
The states will make presentations to the investors regarding investment opportunities in tourism infrastructure followed by one on one business meetings.
Investors from hotels, real estate and convention centre, ropeways and airport development, cruise and river tourism, adventure tourism, sanitation and civic amenities, sound and light show organisers, amusement parks, air services, tech backed cab services will be participating in this two-day event.
The event is being held under the auspices of FICCI in partnership with Ministry of Tourism and the Tourism Finance Corporation of India.
This is the first ever Tourism Investors Meet (TIM) in New Delhi. (ANI)
