Neighbourhood shaken after teen shot in the park

On Monday night 10.30 pm, a resident heard someone moan, “Somebody help, somebody help.” It was a 17-year-old boy who was shot in the park.

Now Peel Regional Police are seeking at least one gunman involved in the incident which occurred near Four Winds Hollow Park, in the area of Mavis and Bristol roads.

The teen who lived in the area of Landsborough Avenue and Four Winds Way managed to reach home where one of his parents called 911.

He was rushed to a Toronto trauma centre with a gunshot wound to the leg where he is still in serious condition.

Investigators have yet to determine what prompted the shooting, according to Peel Const. Bally Saini.

Police are calling it “an isolated incident.”
