Nepal PM urges district heads to carry out ‘good work without fear’

Kathmandu, Feb. 14 (ANI): Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that no one should be afraid to carry out good works.

Inaugurating a training programme on development agreement implementation for district-level office heads organised by the office of the Investment Board Nepal and Nepal Administrative Staff College in Kathmandu, Prime Minister Oli urged the government employees to work without any fear.

He, however, expressed dissatisfaction over the trend of civil servants escaping work and then fearing high-ranking officials in the bureaucracy, reported The Himalayan Times.

The Prime Minister said that local administration and investors should take the locals into confidence.

He also expressed concern over the obstruction by locals to large scale projects.

He further said that all should work together for development and prosperity of the new Constitution, which has already been promulgated through the Constituent Assembly.

A total of 20 participants, including chief district officers and local development officers, land revenue and forest officers and Nepal Electricity Authority are part of this training programme, which will run until February 18.(ANI)
