New police station building with all amenities comes up at IGI airport

New Delhi, July 21 (IANS) A lounge for visitors, a safe house, a child-friendly room, a recreation room and even a cafeteria are among the facilities at the new police station at the IGI airport that was inaugurated by Delhi Police chief Amulya Patnaik on Friday.

The new Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) office-cum-police station at the Indira Gandhi International Airport has a colourful child-friendly room with toys and soft rubberised mats and a conference hall with all required gadgets and a safe house for emergency situations, said DCP Sanjay Bhatia.

“The business centre with modern equipment for the investigating officer and public persons is other important features of the building,” he said, adding that the building also houses a modern cafeteria, a well-equipped washing area with laundry facilities, a recreation room with indoor games and a lounge for visitors with an LCD screen that will display guidelines.
