Nine bodies found in Mexico

Mexico city, April 18 (IANS) The bodies of nine men were found inside a house in northern Mexican state of Nuevo Leon, officials said.

The bodies were found early Sunday in Apodaca, Efe news quoted Nuevo Leon Attorney General Roberto Flores Trevino as saying.

Two of the men were stabbed to death and the other seven were strangled, Flores said.

“We have not yet found any substances” to indicate that the dead men were using drugs before they were murdered, Flores said, adding “devices for smoking drugs” were found at the house.

Flored did not say whether the massacre was the result of a “settling of scores” between rival gangs.

The victims’ bodies were found in the living room and a bathroom, Flores said.
