Udhampur, Jan. 15 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh on Friday blamed the bad condition of roads for the Udhampur bus accident, which claimed at least 11 lives.

“I think that the roads are in bad shape, the buses are over loaded and in the past also such incidents occurred there. Main cause is the bad condition of the roads,” Singh told ANI here.

“It is 25 km from Ramnagar. The police are on spot and we have heard that nine people have been killed in the bus accident. I have talked to the Deputy Commissioner, he has said that air force and other agencies are on alert,” he added.

At least 11 persons were killed while around 20 were injured after a Basantgarh bound bus rolled down a 400 ft gorge at Keya between Ramnagar and Basantgarh.
