Nirmal Singh warns Pak to drop ‘futile’ attempts to pressurize India

Jammu, Sept. 19 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh on Saturday warned Pakistan to stop putting ‘futile’ pressure on India via continuous ceasefire violations, or be prepared to face consequences.

“Pakistan does not understand that what they are doing to India is in some way damaging them too. If they think they can pressurize India in any way then it is simply unfortunate on their part,” Nirmal Singh told the media here.

The state chief minister asserted that Pakistan had nothing to gain by pressuring India, which if they do not understand soon, they will face the consequences.

“The state government as well as the Centre wants everything to be sorted via talks but they do not understand this and we are replying to them in kind,” he added.

The Indian Army on Friday foiled a terrorist infiltration bid, neutralizing five militants near Jammu and Kashmir’s Kanzalwan village in the Gurez sector. (ANI)
