Purnea (Bihar), Nov. 2 (ANI): Continuing his tirade against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the duo must give account of their misdeeds first before pointing fingers at the NDA Government.
“It’s the responsibility of the people in power to give account of their work. Lalu ji ruled for 15 years, ‘Chhota bhai’ (Nitish Kumar) ruled for 10 years. My government has been in power for 25 months and they are asking for the work done by me rather than disclosing theirs as they ruled for 25 years,” Prime Minister Modi said while addressing a rally here.
“Nitish, Lalu have deceived you on the issue of electricity and they have not fulfilled their promises. Now, Bihar cannot trust you. You have lost Bihar’s faith,” he added.
Prime Minister Modi further said the people of Bihar accepted Nitish only because he had the blessings of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
“Now, you do not have his blessings. Now, the people of Bihar won’t accept you,” he said.
“They ask why Modi comes to Bihar. Is it a crime to come to Bihar? Are they scared? Are you scared because you are getting exposed?” he asked.
A record 57.59 per cent turnout was registered in the fourth phase of assembly elections in Bihar for which polling was held yesterday.
The fifth and the final round of election will be held on November 5. The counting of votes will take place on November 8.
Campaigning for the election will end on November 3. (ANI)
