Paris, March 22 (IANS) French President Francois Hollande on Tuesday said the terror attack in Belgium was an attack on Europe.
“Terrorists struck Brussels but it was Europe that was targeted and all the world that is concerned,” he said.
“Today it is Belgium, yesterday it was France,” he said, adding that global efforts were needed to fight terrorism.
“The French government has taken measures to reinforce security at ports, stations, airports,” he said after a meeting.
Tuesday’s terror attack in Belgium, which left 28 people dead, came four days after police here arrested in Brussels a suspect in the Paris carnage of November that left 130 people dead.
