Mumbai, Oct. 12 (ANI): Former Pakistani foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri on Monday said that nothing gets settled on the battlefield adding that India and Pakistan must try peace for better relations between the two neighbouring countries.
“Nothing gets settled on the battlefield. Everything has to be settled if it is to lead to lasting peace. We have tried everything, now let’s try peace,” Kasuri said at the launch of his book titled, ‘Neither a Hawk nor a Dove’.
“The purpose of writing this book is to correct some misperceptions. Unless those misperceptions are handled directly, nothing good will come out of sweet talks,” he added.
Further asserting that there is no solution possible through war, Kasuri said, “Both India and Pakistan have murdered history comprehensively and as a result they are in this situation today.”
Kasuri also said that ordinary people and soldiers are being killed and this not a way out to take forward the relations between the two countries.
Kasuri’s book ‘Neither a Hawk nor a Dove’ was launched here today and he thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the Mumbai Police for providing him adequate security.(ANI)
