Now you can use HOV lanes with 2 in vehicle

Toronto, July 31 (CINEWS) After monitoring the number of high-occupancy vehicles for the past couple of weeks, it has now been decided high-occupancy traffic lanes in place during the Pan Am Games will be open two people including the driver. It was earlier restricted to vehicles with three people in the vehicle, including the driver.CLATYCyW8AApqP5
Temporary fast lanes on the QEW, Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway will be open to vehicles with two people in the car.
And while that may be welcome news for drivers, bus passengers on routes that travel on GTA highways might actually notice a slower commute.
This piece of news may sound good to drivers, but it spells bad news for GO Transit commuters who’ve been spoilt recently with shorter commute times. Up to 21 minutes on average. They fear that opening up the lanes to more vehicles will end up lengthening their commute time. The temporary HOV lanes will be pulled down as on Aug. 18, after the Parapan Am Games conclude.
