NSE, BHU join hands for degree programmes

Mumbai, Jan 19 (IANS) The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has signed an agreement with the Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, to launch two new streams — B.Com. (Hons) (Financial Market Management) and MBA (Financial Management), an official said on Tuesday.

BHU will be offering the degree programmes in collaboration with NSE from the current academic session 2015-16, the NSE official said in a statement here.

The objective of these courses is to create a pool of professionally qualified skilled managers and entrepreneurs to meet the growing needs of trade and industry in the coming years.

“These courses will help in bridging the skill-deficit gap, and prepare the younger generation for exciting opportunities in the financial market,” said Ravi Varanasi, chief – business development, NSE.
