This free, full-day event features educational sessions, a local seniors’ talent show and exhibitor booths. The City of Mississauga, in partnership with the Older Adult Advisory Panel (OAAP) and the Community Centre Older Adult Committee (CCOAC) are hosting the Expo to kick off Seniors’ Month (June 2016).
This event initially began as the Seniors’ Got Talent Show with an attendance of 150 people. Today, the event has thousands of older adult attendees. The Expo provides older adults with the opportunity to connect with others in their community and learn about available programs and services to help them live safe, healthy and active lives.
About Seniors’ Month
In June each year, the province celebrates and recognizes the contributions seniors make to our communities. June 2016 marks the 32nd anniversary of Seniors’ Month in Ontario. This year’s theme is Seniors’ Making a Difference.
