‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ marks six years

Bollywood Actor Emraan Hashmi said that playing the role of gangster Shoaib in the hit 2010 film “Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai” was both challenging and enjoyable for him.

The movie, which was a box office success, marked six years of its release on Saturday.

The gangster thriller film directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Ekta Kapoor. In addition to Emran, it starred Ajay Devgan, Kangana Ranaut, Prachi Desai and Randeep Hooda. The film was produced under Balaji Motion Pictures and released on 30 July 2010. Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai received mixed to positive reviews from critics and was declared a box office hit.

The sequel, Once Upon ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara!, released on 15 August 2013, Independence Day. It featured Akshay Kumar replacing Hashmi from the first film alongside Imran Khan. The filming for the sequel began in August 2012 apparently in Qatar. The sequel received negative reviews from both critics and audiences and performed poorly at the box office. – CINEWS
