One held in Delhi for forging certificates

New Delhi, March 12 (IANS) A young man from Haryana has been arrested here on the charge of being involved in forging academic certificates, police said on Monday.

More than 300 fake certificates were seized from accused Kapil Goyal of Bhiwani. He forged almost 5,000 certificates of various universities last year, police said.

He charged Rs 7,000 for one set of certificates from his clients and operated from Jaina Tower-2 in Janakpuri.

Goyal was a B.Com from Maharshi Dayanand University in Rohtak and entered this illegal activity after failing to crack competitive examinations, police said.

In 2016, his brother too was arrested on similar charges.
